1969

W&H Engineering started trading from an old barn in Billericay. After two years they moved to a larger barn on the same farm and started to invest in machinery. Over the next few years, due to expansion, they had several further moves.

1983

James Draycott started working as an operative for W&H Engineering. By 1990 James became a partner, and in the same year, the first CNC punch machine was purchased.

1998

James Draycott purchased the remainder of the company and started to look for the right location that would take the company forward.

1999

W&H Engineering changed its name to W&H Engineering Ltd, and moved to Leigh on sea, where they remain to this day. And in that time have invested heavily in modern equipment, were accredited with ISO 9001, and installed a modern powder coating plant.

Today

W & H Engineering Ltd, one of the UK’s leading engineering companies, exporting throughout Europe, supplying some of the world’s leading blue chip companies. And are looking forward to the next 40 years of British manufacturing.
